Michael Tatum is President and co-founder of Star Parking Systems. Mr. Tatum attended the University of North Texas where he studied Business Management. He is responsible for overseeing all strategic business operations which ensures that each client receives exceptional customer service from all Star Parking Systems employees. He brings over twenty-five years experience in cultivating businesses and fostering partnerships in the hospitality industry. When he founded what would later be known as Star Parking Systems, Mr. Tatum set out with one goal in mind- providing remarkable customer service to every customer. This responsive, service driven mentality has enabled him to cultivate partnerships with top-tier brands including Bob’s Steak and Chop House, Del Frisco’s Restaurant Group, and The Capital Grille.
Kyle Henry is Vice President of Operations for Star Parking Systems. Mr. Henry graduated from Howard Payne University where he studied Business Management. He is responsible for all operational aspects of Star Parking Systems. Mr. Henry utilizes over twenty years of valet experience to maximize parking logistics through proper traffic flow and tailored operational procedures. He has served in multiple capacities during his tenure at Star Parking Systems and oversees a team of professional account managers. While at Star Parking Systems, Mr. Henry has made himself a valuable resource to premier clients, including the Shops at Legacy, UCR Asset Services, Retail Street Advisors, and the Gaedeke Group. Mr. Henry strategizes with his clients to position each venue for success and overcome any parking obstacles they face. He prides himself on ensuring each client experiences a fruitful partnership with Star Parking Systems.
Ryan Whitehurst is Operating Partner in the Denver market for Star Parking Systems. Mr. Whitehurst graduated from Florida Atlantic University where he studied Marketing. He is responsible for both strategic business development and day-to-day operations in Denver, CO. He has developed solid partnerships with reputable brands including the Magnolia Downtown Denver, True Food, and AIMCO. He strives to identify potential partners and continue developing current partnerships in the Denver market. Mr. Whitehurst brings over nine years of experience in parking operations which he uses to coach the Denver team to provide efficient, effective, and service driven operations at each account.
Marcelo Unterbug is the National Sales Director for Star Parking Systems. He graduated from Mississippi College where he studied Business Administration. He is responsible for identifying and developing new relationships with nationally recognized organizations. Mr. Unterbug brings over fifteen years of sales experience and understands the importance of relationship building and identifying prospective clients’ needs to ensure a fruitful partnership. Marcelo strives to bring solutions to his partners that positively impact the financial dynamics of each account. He also positions himself as a valuable resource to support his partners in reaching their goals.
Marshall Hallberg is the Special Events Manager for Star Parking Systems. Marshall is responsible for all special events for Star Parking Systems in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. With over 13 years of experience in the valet industry, he is able to manage operations, logistics and customer service in order to make sure every event runs efficiently. During his time at Star Parking Systems, Marshall has taken on many different roles including developing key relationships as the manager at The Shops at Legacy North and South.
Allison Cole is the Sales and Marketing Assistant for Star Parking Systems. Allison graduated from Baylor University in May of 2015 where she studied Business with a concentration in Marketing and also received a minor in Dance. She is responsible for assisting with sales and business development as well as managing Star Parking Systems social media accounts. Since she started in August of 2015, Allison has been an integral part of projects such as the Dallas Cowboys world headquarters, The Star, the historic Warwick Melrose Hotel, and State Farm’s headquarters development, CityLine.
Janna Smith, Human Resources Director for Lone Star Valet, is an accomplished Human Resources professional with over 16 years of experience in full cycle recruiting, payroll, creating and implementing training and development programs, employee relations, retention, compensation, and benefits administration. Janna is responsible for implementing human resource management strategies that enable Lone Star Valet to recruit, train, and retain a high performing and customer service driven workforce. Janna is a Certified Professional in Human Resources and is a member of Society for Human Resource Management
Brandy Cox is the Accountant for Star Parking Systems. She graduated from Texas A&M University- Commerce where she studied business and accounting. Brandy works with the executive team to ensure timely, transparent, and accurate billing and payments according to our partnership agreements. Brandy brings over three years of accounting and customer service experience to Star Parking Systems.
Carl Pearce is the Controller for Lone Star Valet. Mr. Pearce has more than 30 years of experience working in industry and public accounting, including 3 years in the parking and valet industry. Mr. Pearce has held Controllership roles in companies such as Parking Company of America, Inc., Pillar Commercial, LLC and Transwestern. He has also served as Chief Financial Officer for CW Dalcan Management, a commercial property management company, and The Infomart in Dallas. Mr. Pearce founded Carl Pearce, CPA, PC in 2007. Mr. Pearce co-founded a multi-family property management company where he served as Vice President. Mr. Pearce has a Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Texas- Dallas.
Nick Clonts is the Claims and Scheduling Manager for Star Parking Systems. He is responsible for facilitating the claim procedure and managing a weekly staffing schedule. Nick brings over 10 years of experience with valet operations which enables him to understand account logistics and strategically staff each account for success. Since he joined Star Parking Systems in 2004, Nick has successfully managed high-volume and logistically challenging venues and accounts. He strives to offer each client exceptional customer service through timely and thorough responses.
Drew Carpenter is the Operations Manager in the Denver market for Star Parking Systems. Mr. Carpenter graduated from Middle Tennessee State University where he studied Business Management. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations and assisting with strategic business development in Denver, CO. He brings over 8 years of hospitality and parking operations experience which he uses to develop training and operating procedures tailored to each account. Mr. Carpenter is driven to provide exceptional customer service to our clients and to develop and support our employees.

Star Parking Systems’ corporate operations team boasts over seventy-five years in combined experience in the parking industry. Our team has consulted with groups on everything from hiring and training a new valet company to logistics of future garages and lots.
Our “ready, text, go!” valet program allows guests to alert valet parking attendants when they are ready to leave by phone text. LSgo or “Lone Star go” not only offers reduced wait times and marketing opportunities, but each client that uses LSgo has the opportunity to create personalized response messages to thank their guests for their business, remind them of specials or happy hours, and prompt guests to participate in surveys or reviews.
Park ‘N Stroll
Star Parking Systems’ Park ‘N Stroll system allows your guests to drop their car off at one podium, but pick it up at another while still receiving premium customer service. Park ‘N Stroll promotes walkability on properties, encourages patrons to valet park and stay, and creates exposure for multiple venues.
Star Parking Systems doormen and bellman offer an added amenity for many of our clients. Our doormen and bellmen participate in the same customer service and operations orientation that our valet parking attendants attend, ensuring the highest level of professionalism and courteousness. Our team works to ensure doormen and bellmen cooperate with our valet attendants and clients’ staff to become a seamless addition to our clients’ team.
Employee Shuttle Program
Our Employee Shuttle Program can be the perfect solution for overcrowded parking situations or for individuals looking to monitor employee parking. Star Parking Systems’ Employee Shuttle Program offers courtesy rides for employees from their designated parking place. Our shuttle operator can also take an optional log of who is using the service. Employee Shuttle Programs are tailored to meet the needs of each location.
